Pete has said it all... we were well chuffed at the turnout last night. Hopr Pat remembers his book next time, he's a fine singer. Nice to meet Mac, and glad that Guitar Frank got use of the car this week.

Another good evening, though small in number. good to see the return of John and Mac. We lost track of the time, and finished a little after eleven. Ben the landlord was ok with it.

A rather quiet night in number but a great night nonetheless.Good to see Ian, even though he was without Pete. We had a great jam, and are thinking of working up a few songs that we can perform together elsewhere. After alol, if Mohamed won't come to the mountain.....

I needn't have left early - the troublous people stayed the night. And maybe tonight as well. I don't know what they've done with the baby, but they're so angry with the ex-tenants that they probably can't spare any harassing for me....

Thanks Pete. Hope it's not long before Tommy is fit and well enough to come home.Penny- they've probably sold the baby into slavery.....
We sang our two songs at Dartford. Incredibly we forgot words on Washing Day... nervous tension I suppose... still they seemed to enjoy us. Jez and the band were absolutely magic, and I bought another new cd. Will soon need a cd rack just for Jezza! See you all next week

Sorry to be missing tonight - I practised and all, a new tune on the Melodica, and searched for the words I've forgotten from the Unquiet Grave, which happen to be the ones nowhere a search engine can find, slipped out by my neighbour's BMW, and got halfway there. Then I felt so melancholy, I just came home again - he'd gone. What he was doing I don't know - all the lights on, and dead silent. I do know what he wasn't doing - removing his heap of binbags the council won't take.

Penny

Penny - you should have come anyway. We'd have cheered you up. Just a few of us last night. good to see Frank is becoming a regular. No proper folk music though. Trev wrote a song yesterday morning, and we performed itlast night.

Penny- the Unquiet Grave is on the Digitrad

I expect to be in Gloucestershire next week - haven't been over for ages, and really must go.

I had thought the neighbour business would have been dealt with tonight, but our secretary has had a nasty burglary, so the meeting has been deferred for a second time. The neighbour has left a sealed envelope for her - several pages of I know not what, so I've got that to bother about as well. We're getting him to post it to her. He wasn't going to be able to be here - after being here all day. During which he totally failed to clear up the bin bags the council is not going to take for the second week.

I shan't be free of this until the flat is sold...

Penny

No worries Penny... enjoy Gloucestershire... perchance you can relax a bit. Hope the bags go while you're away. Bexley dustmen appear to have the same phobia. Mumblin' has to complain to the council every few weeks because they ignore the bins. In the summer I complained for him as they were infested with flies. We have thought up a new tactic. We will indelibly mark each bag with the date on which it was put out.
