Anyone going? I'm certainly going on Friday evening, possibly more. The cut off for less expensive tickets is July 15, I believe. Also, there are dorm rooms available at UVM if folks are in need of places to stay. The webste is www.cvfest.together.com

Susan:

Introduce yourself to my son, Rob, at the Folk-Legacy booth. Tell him you're a Mudcatter and wish him well. He will have to handle that festival on his own, as Caroline and I will be holding down the booth at the Schroon Lake festival that same week-end (very bad planning!). We love the Champlain festival, and we'd love to have a chance to meet you, but we must make hay while the sun... etc.

Sandy (still peddling folk music to the masses)

Just a reminder that the Champlain Valley Folk Festival is this weekend in Burlington, Vermont. It's about my favorite small, traditional festival.

I hope to meet any Mudcatters who are there.

Disclaimer: I'm on the festival's Associate Board of Directors and am MCing the Friday night concert with Joel Mabus, Spider John Koerner, Mary McCaslin, John Roberts & Tony Barrand and Peggy Eyres, Dan Berggren & Dan Duggan.

RATS!! I now have a wedding to cater on Friday night, and life has gotten wicked complicated for the remainder of the weekend. I may, yet again, miss the festival. ARRGH!! If anyone wants food on the way up on Friday, stop in.Remember, Mudcat T Shirt wearers get free dinner and Friday it's Gnocchi and tomato basil salad.

(I'm only whining a little while I write this, but growling a LOT!!)

Susan

(Susan A-R)

Food en route to Champlain Festival would be at Susan's Kitchen at 209 Barre St. in Montpelier. The business number is 802-223-togo(8646) I'm there much of the time, being the chief cook and bottle washer. Hope to see you and any other Mudcatters on your way up on Friday (I'll be a little green with envy, but not so as to ruin your appetites.)

Susan

Sorry that your restaurant is not on the way for me. Rather than "up" to Burlington, Canadians head "down."

Maybe on my next trip down to Boston.

I'll be there but won't have a booth this time. I decided to just go and enjoy the festival. Instead I wound up on the CVF board and will be working throughout. But I'm definitely going to hear some good music.

Susan, can you make it up Saturday or Sunday?

This will be my first CVF -- will attend with expert Vt. guides Wally & Berta. Looking forward to meeting both the festival and fellow Mudcatters.

Just popped into this tangle of threads at the urging of Sandy Paton in an e-mail today. Here I am, and I see not only Sandy, but VT neighbors Wally, Susan, and Old Pal Kathy Westra. AND Mike whom I haven't seen since he was a wee lad and probably won't remember me. Have a wonderful time at the festival--maybe I'll make it next year. Joan

Susan DT and Dick G stopped in at the kitchen today to say hi on their way up through. Yet another couple of faces now put to Mudcat names. Had a great visit amongst rushing food out for a catered wedding (the groom showed up to pick up the food and he was two hours late and about to have hysterics. Didn't se any homor in my calmly telling him that no one was going to do anything without him.) I am still holding out some hope of going up Sunday, we'll see.

I'm finally out from under after working the festival. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see a whole lot. Caught some of John Koerner, Joel Mabus and Martin Grosswendt and enjoyed them very much.

I'd like to get feedback from folks who were there that may be useful for next year's festival. All comments welcome.
