We'll be holding a programmed MudGather at Alcester SummerFest on Saturday 20th June, probably around tea-time. Sounds like a good time for a chocolate fix to me *grin*

I understand that Ken Nichol & Phil Cool will be doing funny folkie things on the Saturday too!

If you're quick and book your tickets before 1st June you'll get the 'early bird' rate of £48 for the festival weekend, camping extra as usual.

So, who's planning on joining the fun at Alcester?

We will obviously try to get there depending on where Marj and Dave put us to sing, and what's Bubbly been up to.

Hils,

I think Roger & Karen will be buying suits n 'ats and learning to eat cucumber sarnies with the crusts cut off and to drink tea from china cups :o)

(It's a joke Bubblyrat, I'm sure you do this all the time)

On another matter, I think, sadly, we will miss the mudgather although we are booked at Alcester as we plan to rush off to a 60th birthday celebration.

Christine

You're always rushing off to 60th parties Christine!!

Have at last seen the thread about Roger & Karen being off to the hat shop & throwing rock buns at the Monarchy. Will be a privilege to be allowed to attend the van-warming party at Bude *grin*

Well,Hils,we got the beast INTO Karen's driveway, with the help of the built-in electric mover, but it's getting it OUT again on Sat.morning that should prove interesting !! Keep yours eyes peeled for press reports of a large German caravan getting stuck in Dulverton's narrow streets.

And I shall be Herbaceousing along (I hope) with lots of you. Will be around lunch-time or early afternoon on both the Saturday and Sunday in the Holly Bush Garden.

Look out for posters in the Greig Hall, the Holly Bush and on the Camp Site with final details (inviting everyone to come and join in dance some border morris or play in the band.) It would be wonderfully helpful to know who might be able to play .... and good to know who might come and dance (beginners welcome. I've got the sticks and the jackets.)

Mouth -organs being cleaned & polished ready for the occasion,Sue. And of course, Whitbread Tankard is bound to be there, too,so you've got half a band already! And Karen will dance,as long as we're not on duty at that time.

So sorry I won't be there Hils, as it appears I've been "rested" again this year.
I'm not the only one getting serious festival withdrawal symptoms in 2009, it seems.
Hope it goes well (I won't say swimmingly, in case that tempts the flood!)
MM

DD: So sorry your engine threw it's dummy out, but at least you were prepared for it! Glad that you're still with us anyway!

Many thanks to Marje & Dave and all the hardworking organisers for giving us another lovely Alcester festival!

Also many thanks to all who came to the MudGather, it was such a shame that it clashed with Cool & Nichols but we made quite a cheerful session of it, I thought. So glad that young Tommy came along to keep us in line *grin*

Thought I'd posted this last night but it obviously didn't work.

Kitty: Sorry Dear, I can't imagine how I managed to get you on the list, maybe because I'd been wishing I could be in two places at once *grin* Mind you, Moses & the Ref & Doktor Doktor (& presumably Billy Suggers) managed to do the twin-town events really well, I was very impressed!

Duncan: No probs, we could all see that you were busy enjoying yourself, and long may you continue to do so!!
