If you're interested PM me and I'll give you my mobile number. |

Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Banjiman Date: 01 Jul 09 - 11:11 AM Muppett, I've no idea, it was the only one I could find. I'm merely a minor performer at the festival, not an organiser and I definitely deny any responsibility for rural bus services in Yorkshire! There is text on there that suggests that there is a service for the rest of the week. I think there's a phone number as well, why not give them a ring? Hopefully see you there. Cheers Paul |

Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Banjiman Date: 01 Jul 09 - 05:42 AM Good stuff Soldier Boy. It will be good to meet you. Just look out for The Levellers flag and luxury caravan and I'm sure we won't be far away (our daughters will insist!). I think it has the makings of a good little festival. "Whose putting pressure on the sheep?" I've been told that gentle persuasion is a better approach! Sorry you won't make it Barry (but will the sheep be relieved?). |

Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Banjiman Date: 26 Jun 09 - 04:12 AM Carol, The link seems to work OK from here. Must be your mobile signal again! Pete, I'll give the rocket a miss if it's all the same to you. We will be there by the way! |
Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Carol Date: 25 Jun 09 - 11:30 AM I can't seem to get either of those links to work - could this be 'cos I'm sat on the river bank at Durham, although the signal seems OK. Anyhow it sounds very good' as long as there are enough singarounds programmed!! Roll on Croxdale this weekend |
Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: theleveller Date: 25 Jun 09 - 06:29 AM Seems that we've bought the the first 3 tickets - who's next? Hey, Paul, I take it you won't be wanting any rocket salad with your barbie ;) |

Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Brother Crow Date: 23 Jun 09 - 11:41 AM Hi Guys, the folk festival is actually AT the brewery...and the beer is great... ...I'm on sorting a quick website out for Richard Grainger (who is organising the festival), and for the moment, we are using the old Roots North website for the hosting. You can find it at: http://www.rootsnorth.co.uk Not much there at the moment, but keep checking back... Hope this helps, Graeme, Brother Crow. |

Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: theleveller Date: 22 Jun 09 - 11:22 AM "Pete, who's bringing the barbie?" Reckon it's our turn. I went out and bought one like yours - barbie in a bag, great idea! |
Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Sir Roger de Beverley Date: 22 Jun 09 - 10:48 AM They also have a more "rocky" music festival in that pub in November (lots of bikers) - we went there for my birthday last year so it must be around Nov. 26th. Maybe it was me and Ossonflags doing a spot on the stage there last year that inspired this folky version! :-) It is the home of the Cropton Brewery and they also do good food and have nice accommodation. Roger |

Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Banjiman Date: 22 Jun 09 - 10:23 AM Hazel, more of a Saltburn warm up really! It should be a fun, good value weekend. I didn't know there was a brewery there, even better. Pete, who's bringing the barbie? Paul |
Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: theleveller Date: 22 Jun 09 - 08:05 AM Folk festivals in breweries seem like a growing (and very welcome) trend. We're also going to the Moonbeams Wold Top Festival in July at the Wold Top Brewery near Wold Newton in (you guessed it) the Yorkshire Wolds. |
Subject: RE: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: GUEST,OldNicKilby Date: 22 Jun 09 - 07:40 AM Is there not a very fine Micro Brewery there? I seem to remember being even grumpier than usual, as I was driving. |

Subject: Cropton (Nr Pickering) Fest Aug7-9th UK From: Banjiman Date: 22 Jun 09 - 06:11 AM A new festival (and absolutely nothing to do with the ill fated Pickering Folk Festival!) except being near by. Acts confirmed so far include: Wendy Arrowsmith - The Arrowsmiths & Joolz Cavell - Roscoe La Belle - Brother Crow - Graham Brotton - Emma Forman - Richard Grainger & The Darklands Band - Shirley Higton - Landermason - Kim Ralls - Stormcrow - Ethan Thomas- Penni Maclaren Walker I would expect there will be plenty of informal singarounds and sessions as well. Just £20 + £5 camping for the weekend! Details here: Cropton Folk & Roots 2009 Apparently camping is in the Orchard, which sounds extremely pleasant! Anyone fancy it? |
