Subject: RE: Mudcat FAQ - Newcomer's Guide From: Joe Offer Date: 28 Jun 09 - 01:40 AM MIDI Links - please help!If you find a MIDI link that's defective, please send me a personal message or e-mail and tell me about it. I had posted a number of MIDI files at Jon Freeman's Website: http://www.jonbanjo.org/midi/xxx.mid Now they're all at Mudcat MIDIs: /midi/midifiles/xxx.mid But the links I posted are all to Jon's Website. Can anybody help me find thse links so I can fix them? Thanks. -Joe Offer- joe@mudcat.org |

Subject: RE: Finding Mudcat MIDI Links - please help!! From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 29 Jun 09 - 09:15 AM Hmm, Joe. You've done me so many favors, that I wish I could help here. I looked for links to banjo sites using 'Links' on top of the forum, and none of the sites listed were for jonbanjo. Are you sure those bad links are still around here somewhere? If they are, you may need an HTML guru. |
Subject: RE: Finding Mudcat MIDI Links - please help!! From: Mick Pearce (MCP) Date: 29 Jun 09 - 09:53 AM Joe try a Google search with jonbanjo mid site:www.mudcat.org. This will find places with jonbanjo and mid. (You can enter the values directly like this, or go to Google's Advanced Search page). This search retured 129 entries for me (including this one!). Subject: RE: Finding Mudcat MIDI Links - please help!! From: Joe Offer Date: 23 Jul 09 - 08:37 PM Well, Mick, it was a good try - but it leads to too many falso hits. So far, I'm doing best looking for click to play on Mudcat search in date order. Thanks, anyhow. But if you find dead MIDI links at Mudcat, be sure to tell me in a personal message so I can try to fix them. I need the thread name or URL, and the sender and date/time of the message. Thanks. -Joe- |
