The thread title about says it. I can't seem to save any MIDI files, is it my problem, or are you guys running into this too?

Seems to be working OK, Margarita. How do you go about saving MIDI files? If you point to the link, click the right mouse button, and choose "save target as..." you should have no problem.
Maybe your computer had been working wrong and saving files when you clicked on the "click to play" button. Is that it?

Ah, thank you Joe. I used to be able to click on "file" on the MIDI box, and choose save. But that doesn't work anymore. Your method works.

By the way, Joe, I went to your site through a link in another thread. Wonderful! I know what you mean about a photo you can be proud of. That one with the shack and rowboat is great! I have one of scenery in Idaho. The photo is so perfect, it doesn't even need cropping. One of these days I'm going to get my personal site done so I can post that stuff.

Darn. I covered all this in the Help Forum, but that forum isn't working. Eagle - go to our links page and try some of the MIDI sites noted there, particularly Taylor's Traditional Tunebook (click), and see if those MIDI files work for you. If you download a file and double-click on it, does it play?
If you have Windows 95/98, have you downloaded the latest (free) version of Windows Media Player (click)? I also have come across a number of people who have had problems with Crescendo. If you have that program, you may want to uninstall it and see if that helps.

Joe, your advice to LE solved my identical problem. Err - like someone (I'm sure it wasn't me, so daughter or one of her friends is number one suspect) had turned the midi down in the volume control panel! OOoops!
