Subject: Beverley North Bar 600 celebrations From: Sir Roger de Beverley Date: 03 Jul 09 - 06:26 AM 600 years ago the North Bar in Beverley's town walls was constructed at a cost of £96. It is now the only one of the bars remaining and there is a period of celebrations in the town that culminates in a full day of events on July 12th. Mudcatters will be interested to hear that the musical element of the celebrations include our own Saggy Bottom Boys as well as an Early English Dance workshop, Beverley Brass Band, Green Ginger Morris. If they try it they'll have to reduce tyre pressures! |
