Subject: RE: Irish Music on Wirral Community Radio, W From: GUEST,Chris B (Born Again Scouser) Date: 11 Jul 12 - 06:38 AM Hi Everyone. It's the second Wednesday of the month and tonight (July 11th) is the night for the 7waves Community Radio monthly Disability Issues programme, 'Wirral Tonight', presented by Glynn Thomas. As usual, there will be live Irish Traditional Music on the show and tonight promises to be a little bit special: Patricia Lacey, one of the finest Irish traditional singers in the North-West, will be joining me for the first time this evening. Patricia is well-known in traditional circles and has been involved in promoting Irish traditional culture in schools around Liverpool for several years, including running workshops through the Liverpool Irish Festival. The show starts at 7pm (UK Time) and broadcasts locally on 92.1 FM. However, you can also pick it up on the Internet through the 7 Waves Radio Website: http://www.7waves.co.uk/live-across-the-wirral Music aside, it's an excellent show which provides an invaluable service in providing people with disabilities with a voice of their own. Hope you enjoy it. Chris Boland |
