The Tenth Gainsborough Folk Festival (16th - 17th October) is celebrating its survival by combining with the Gainsborough Beer Festival. Both events are centred on Gainsborough Old Hall - an absolutely amazing medieval manor house which is always worth a visit. Programme details can be found here. Hope to see lots of you next weekend!

I'll be there.

Please put a weekend ticket to one side for me.

I'll be kipping at the Travelling Audience residence again, catching up on the gossip and sharing a bottle of the old nectar, singing a few songs and listening to Geoff on his guitar and Mo on her whistle now they have had another year practising.

Has anyone had the privilege to hear them yet?

Can't wait!

Sorry, Deidre, we'd love to come but can't leave the poor lad on his own - we won't see him again until Christmas. I dunno, kids! Just when you think you've got rid of them, they keep coming back. Anyway, hope you have a super time - catch up with you soon.

Well I enjoyed it anyway! Particularly good to share the bill with John Blanks not once, but twice! But great to see and hear loads of old pals (no, not that sort of old: the nice sort of old), too. Lots of good music, good company and (not nearly enough) good beer.

Once again what a fantastic festival, so many friendly people, I loved it, to be honest if it hadn't been Gainsborough I wouldn't have gone looking at the line up, but, how wrong I would have been to miss a line up like that, it was brilliant, just goes to show. So! Very well done to everyone you all deserve a medal. Special thanks to Travelling Audience for once again sharing their home.

Ian (Hopefully see you Friday).

Sooz, I've got some from Cafe 54 and the afternoon concert (Simon Johnson and Dunc McFarlane). Haven't looked at them yet so I'm not sure what the quality's like. I'll download 'em and let you have 'em on Friday at the GFC.

There are some YouTubes beginning to appear. Search on simmo7ts and gainsborough should get you there. SO far Gwenda and Terry, Rosie, Dunx and a general workshops, beer fest and morris video loaded. Expect more soon (although how long I let any of me stay in the public domain remains to be ascertained!)
