Hi all,

Just to let you know that Mudcatters Andrew 'Crane Driver' McKay and 'Sussex' Carole Etherton will be at the Lewes Saturday Folk Club in the Elephant and Castle on 17 October 2009, evening starts about 8:00-ish.

Hope to see as many 'catters as possible - if we don't know you already, do come and introduce yourselves.

Of course we'll still talk to you if we do know you already (note to self - stop digging!)

We're looking forward to hearing you and showing you our new club-room in the Elephant & Castle , which has excellent acoustics, more space and even better Harveys than the Lewes Arms.

The other thing to look out for is the Angel of Death on the stairs, photographed by Will Fly and shown here with Alan Day. She appears to have escaped from the 1996 Glyndebourne production of The Queen of Spades.

I hope your appearance will bring some other Crane Duet players out of the woodwork as well as plenty of old friends.

OK, we've finally made it to an internet connection.

We've really enjoyed everything we've done so far, my first visit to the Royal Oak, a splendid night in the Saturday club's impressive new room at the Elephant, and the Sunday session we sat in on.

We've also fitted in a wedding and an afternoon being interviewed in a studio, so we've kept busy this trip.

Thanks to Valmai and everyone else who looked after us - and yes, Carole tends to leave detritus behind her wherever we go. At least it wasn't superglued to anything. We should be home Tuesday.

Next, chez Sullivan and an evening at Herga.

Bring it on.
