Our own Pete is on the radio this sunday
The programme runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. UK time, this Sunday 11th October 2009. I guess if you look on one of the World Time web-sites, you will be able to work out what time that would be for you!

The URL to find it is www.waylandradio.com and there is a listen here button on the left to click on.

Thanks Dan (Olddude),

Wayland Radio is trying hard to provide a great service to its local community. They would love it if you could listen in via the web. That they want to put on folk is a great credit to their good taste!

There are many other good people on as well!

Best wishes,

Peter

This was a really great set by Pete Twitchett and the whole show was a good listen. Watch out for the next CD.

I'm glad you enjoyed it TS. It was a good set from everyone yesterday. There was Dave & Linda from the Milkmaid Folk Club in Bury, Peter Booth and a great four piece group called The Jim Jims. I've never seen so many wires all in one place, and no-one tripped over them! (And to think they call it wireless!)

As I said before, I think it is great that a community radio station wants to highlight live folk music. If there is one near you, I hope they do the same!

Best wishes,

Peter

Hello,

Just to let you know that I am back on the radio again this Sunday, 6th December 2009. Time is between 7 and 9 UK time. It isn't all me, there is also the chance to hear Trixie and John Symonds from the Wisbech Acoustic Music Club and Tom Moore, a young fiddler.

If you want to listen from outside the UK, I can't better Olddude's tips in the first post!

Remember...you heard it here first! www.waylandradio.com

Best wishes,

Peter

So, if I'm figuring things out correctly, Mudcat (Eastern Standard) time is 6 hours earlier than UK/GMT time. So, the show starts at 1 PM on the US east coast, and 10 AM here in California.
Good luck, Pete!

I am looking forward to this.

Joe, I'm not sure about your numbers. I am seven hours back from Micca in London, two hours from Mudcat time, so it ought to come on here at noon. Are you two hours from here?

Time differences are difficult when there's no listen again facility!

I always find this web-site sorts it out when I want to contact people in real time. Hope it works for you!

Hi Pete,

I'm hoping to listen in too. I may even do it sitting at the kitchen table!

Have fun.

Hoping to catch you Peter. We'll be at a luncheon at church for part of that time (2-4 p.m.) So we may not be able to catch the beginning of it.

Darn. Looks like I missed it again. I forgot to turn the computer on until just now, and I had expected the Mudcat thread to remind me.
I hope it went well, Pete.

I surely will, Kat.

As I've said before, these local stations are the life blood of radio and very keen to support local interests. Wayland Radio is very supportive of the local 'folk' scene and all power to their elbow for that!

Tom Moore, the fiddler who was also on is very good. A name to watch out for! I think he will go far in the music world.

Best wishes,

Peter
