Has anyone had any contact with Pete Nalder in the last few years? He gave me some songs back in about 1969 and I would like to catch up with him if possible. His name is mentioned in a few threads here and I've found one posting from him as a Guest here, where he said "Try the Northampton telephone directory..." but I've just drawn a blank on http://www.thephonebook.bt.com and 192.com only offered me a 2002 electoral roll entry.

Richard

It seems to be the same chap... article here mentions him as a folk singer:

"Up and down Britain, meanwhile, campaigners such as Nalder, 63, are doing their bit. In 1993, the former maths lecturer and folk singer turned ecologist set up South Court Environmental – a cooperative that tries to involve the local community in wildlife conservation. A revived orchard, open to the public and run by volunteers, would have been perfect"

I would say that it was the same Peter. In his advert in the EFDSS directory as far back as 1973 or thereabouts it listed one of his activities as an ecologist. However the only reference I have seen to him recently is the posting on Mudcat as featured above.

Hello Michael, Please say hi to your Dad from Roy Harris. We knew each other in the folk scene years ago. I always remember that in a festival I ran he did a workshop called 'The folklore of Sex.' I also sang for him in Northampton folk club. I'm glad to hear he's doing well, I remember him as a great bloke.

Thinking of a song called Richard Malvine just reminded me of Peter, whom alas I never knew nor knew anything about. But he recorded a fine LP in the mid-70s called Narsty Tales, with some lovely songs on it. Sadly I've no idea where my copy went, but I'd love to replace it.

Thanks for the try, Tim, but I'm afraid those links are gone. The famous "Page Not Found."

I've just come back to look at this thread. I didn't see the reply from GUEST,michael nalder back in 2012. I have now tried the phone number and email address that he gave then and neither works.

Anyone have up to date info?

Richard
