No one should feel bad. You did an incredible job and put out an amazing CD that is doing a lot of good - both financially for the family and to help spread Utah's name and influence. It is a brilliant recording.

If you had to lose, you lost to another great CD - and an important project. Wainwright's project is helping introduce Poole to a new audience - and to bring some attention to get Poole inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame.   It is a damn good recording too, and I'm sure Utah wouldn't feel bad about losing to it.

We are lucky to be able to celebrate two magnificent recordings and everyone should be extremely proud of what you accomplished. A Grammy on a mantle might have been a nice knick-knack, but you can relish the fact that everyone connected with the Utah project created a work of art that is going to be heard, enjoyed and will teach generations to come. I'm happy for everyone involved and I'm honored to know some of you.

I heard the cheers (including my own here in CT). Would have been nice to see our grass roots friends win that grammy outside of the music establishment, but I'm still so proud of what they did. Getting nominated is a huge honor and a wonderful tribute to Utah Phillips.

(What is it with the banjos, fer cryin' out loud, she whispers, a banjo wife herself...)

Just being nominated for something that started out as a small project is incredible. I've been telling people that I personally know Grammy nominees. I think I'll keep doing that.

Shoot! 'course there were Grammy veterans there who said they'd been nominated a lot of times and were just winning for the first time.

And, this will still help with album sales. You are ALL wonderful and fantastic friends to UUtah and his family and can be proud of what you've done for them. We are very proud of you!
