Newport Folk Club (Wales) has just put on line a new website, we would appreciate as many of you as possible visiting it to help the search engines find it more easily. We are told the more hits it gets the easiler it is to find. Thanks.

I like it. It's crisp, clean, easy to use and read.

One thing I noticed, and this is true of a lot of fest and club sites I've visited, there is nothing about which country it is in. I know it's Wales because you've said in this thread. On the website, I know it is UK because the money is shown in pounds, and there are "weird" postal codes,(no offence) but I'm pretty sure there's more than one "Newport" in the UK and we have a few over here, so be sure to tell us which one. That goes for anyone who has a website for similar events, etc.

Thanks and I'll keep clicking!

kat

This one's Newport (Monmouthshire/Gwent) as opposed to Newport Shropshire/Pembrokeshire/Isle of Wight, and doubtless others.

Nice & tidy includes keeping it up to date - keep that in mind as the years roll by.
Thankyou for not changing the URL. So many sites I link to change the URL, especially of sub pages, without realising that people link to them (like me) and many more bookmark them. If you change the URL (for your own reasons) you break the link and lose the traffic.

Regards to Crispen & Claire.

Oh! and do check the PA level, loud puts some people off, and quiet is easier to ballance.

Newport are one of the few clubs that understand PA. That dreadfull term is actually short for public address, ie distortion and loud.
At Newport it is sound reinforcment, not loud just there!

All power t'committee.

Andy

Like the website and especially the club rules. As a very occasional visitor to Newport (when I'm working in the area - it's a long way from Lancashire!), I would recommend the club; friendly welcome, good singing - what more do you want.

Thanks for your comments, spelling to be corrected in some cases, not all. If there are any suggestions about anything else that people would find useful that would be good to.

This one's Newport - the others are Newport, Pembs, etc!

I should know!! (and it's the Royal Mail's first choice)

Dear Miskin

If you tow the Island a little closer, say near Lundy we could probably organise something.
