D'Cats--

I thought it might be informative to have a thread where people could let d'cat know that they would be absent for awhile. If it's a dopey idea, the thread will die quickly, I'm sure. But I'm sure many of us have vacation plans, and may not be able to cat around while we're vacating (others, I'm sure, will cat around even more while on vacation!) Anyway, to avoid worry and or confusion, I will be off line until 23 August. I'm not going away mad, insulted, offended, or (as in Catspaw's case) in an ambulance.

I shall return (that's a promise, not a threat!) [I hope]

Yes, a good idea. I'm just back from a 24-hour a day case I conducted brilliantly for a very unappreciative client (who was American), and I did wonder if anyone thought I might have taken umbrage and skulked off.

Actually, I'm AVOIDING Worry and Confusion. I have NO PLANS to take them with me. I'm not taking Umbrage, either. If you see them, tell them I'm in Communicado, so they'll go there and won't find me. I know it's lovely this time of year, but I have other places to go to. (No, mine enemies, and friends of mine enemies, Hell is not on the Itinerary) (no offense to Wolfgang!)

We seem to have a lot of communicado on this incommunicado thread. At this rate, we'll reach 100 soon and be unable to load this sucker in less than an hour, defeating the purpose. True vintage and essential Mudcat!!! Notice also how we went immediately to Thread Creep? (That's about 50 miles west of Incommunicado)

"Lovely this time of year" must be a comparative thing. I was told that Communicado is near the islands of Victus, Sensible, and Conclusive which are somewhere off the coast of Tierra del Fuego.

As was said, this thing'l be loaded up with threadcreep and be rendered useless before long. An alternative might be this thread which I started for the same reason as Vixen stated. I will refresh it to bring it to the top for your use.

Seed...I've been in Flagrante Delicto, and it used to be a damn nice place until they put up all those condominiums. There was a great nude beach there nestled between the swaying palms.
