Hey, folks. We made it to the show...me, bankley, and his lovely daughter. Great show! Michelle is one lively and impassioned woman. She loves to talk and does a lot of that during her show, but it's very entertaining talk, and she can really sing up a storm. Ron got to do his song in fine style, and there was another guy from Montreal who did a blues number, both were invited up to play. Michelle is very generous toward the other performers. She has a trio from Kentucky or somewhere down that way who are also playing with her and doing an opening set and some stuff in between.

She phoned her husband (who is down in Texas?) from the stage on her cellphone and had everyone in the house yell, "Hello, David!", when he answered, then talked to him for a bit and sang a song for him. Really sweet. ;-)

So, here I am back in lovely rural Orillia...the sun is shining...just fed the chipmunk some peanuts...Michelle Shocked is no doubt on her way to the next gig somewhere...

Life is good. ;-D

Hey Peace.. I did take names.. maybe we do something with Ghent up there in Sept. if you're up for it...

I'll have more remarks later. Good to be home. Great to meet up with Little Hawk and give him a picture of Chongo's relatives...
ha, ha.... he'll fill you in on that one... a postcard I picked up in Plains Ga. last month.... well it was either that or the Georgia mosquito trap which is a tiny leghold trap.. if you want Mosquito pelts... I know... I'm warped...

almost between periods... 3-3

one of those funny things about last nite (and there were many)
was that 2 ex-Montrealers were the only ones invited to play.(besides the touring band from Ark/Tn,)
plus TO is cheering for the Habs in a big way... who woulda thunk it ???
