There is a rumour that the teeshirts are back - in sizes to fit folk singers up to 4XL, but I can't find the link to them as merchandise.

Right - now Sweeps is over, time to get your tickets for the Pigs Ear Kentish Horse Folk Ale 2010!

It all happens at the Kentish Horse pub, Markbeech, West Kent over the weekend 4th/5th/6th June - but there are sessions and folk events going on in villages around Edenbridge from Sunday 30th May onwards.

Tickets on sale at http://www.folkale.co.uk - just £25 for a packed weekend and guests Jez Lowe, The Bully Wee Band, and Moveable Feast. Lots of brilliant local acts taking part too - see website for list.

You can also pre-order this years t-shirt Look forward to seeing lots of local Mudcatters there.

I cannot order any thing in advance due to a elderly relative being ill and me being his overseer i could be called away any time and I could also miss the event altogether if the worst comes to the worst being has such I prefer to pay at the door.I have missed out on other events in the past having paid for them in advance its disappointing to not be able to attend ,more so to be out of pocket and disappointed
I am looking forward very much to this event i went for the first time last year and had a wonderful time

Ah, would a kind elf combine my earlier fred about this with this one?

A postal address to which to send cheques would be nice for those who read the Google Accounts terms of service and are not prepared to agree to them (like me!)

I heard a rumour that Teeshirts were back on the counter this year, but if they are I can't find them in the pigsty site. How much are they? Make mine a 3XL please!

It would be very good if FaF teeshirts etc were also on sale on a teeshirt counter if any (and if the nighttime temperatures go down as they have done some previous years the FaF hoodies might be a nice little earner for FaF).

Will the FaF banner be flown?

T-shirts are available, price £12 (£8 for childrens') - there'll be a new Ben Scruton Original design for 2010 but please pre-order (Richard - your order noted!) There will only be a few T shirts available "at the counter" (ie not pre-ordered). The cost of production is quite high, and we can't risk getting too many left over - we end up out of pocket. Similar budgetting issues apply to "hoodies", but we might think about having that option for the future!! (Or perhaps customised hot water bottles...?)

The Kentish Horse and the Kentish Pig will be in evidence this year as last....

VT you will like Pigear. It is a glorious campsite setting and the evening sessions are very good. I am setting off on the Thursday this year and I am going to make the most of this great event.
The weather was excellent last year I wore me black waistcoat for much of the time and caught the sun accordingly. When I took the waistcoat off I had a perfect bleached white waistcoat underneath.

There again if it rains? the field can take on the appearance of The Somme in repect of Mud.

I say "I hope those young ladies with the Harps turn too this year a fantastic sound from a difficult instrument and I also had the best view in the pub because they set up in front of me and I actually sat behind them so I could see the playing of the Harp close up very memorable.

Tam- you aren't the only one who's got confused over the pricing. The £5.00 a night refers to day ticket holders only. Had to explain that to somebody last year.

Hello. We have only been to previous 'ales' for visits during the day, this year we can stay the whole weekend, can you advise me if the camping ticket is for campervans and not just tents? Also are there portaloo or other facilities? we have a basic VW rather than a modern vehicle with jacuzzi, water bed and hd television!

After the success of the Brian Rodgers bog driving trophy a couple of years back and some other tow-out crises I think they now generally try to get the caravans near the top of the field(s) in the drier flatter bits, and the tents lower down.

I believe but cannot bindingly state that organisers prefer to have advance requests for the open mic as it facilitates ordering a balanced programme - but that they may respond to informal requests on the day (partly depending on existing prior pressure on the time).
