       Don't forget it's the Robin Hood's Bay Folk weekend this coming weekend, it's free, just turn up and sing and/or play your instruments in the 3 pubs in the village. the forcast isn't too good but don't worry about that, it'll be dry and warm inside.

About 25 years ago I went to a folk club down by the harbour which had a singaround in a tiny room. Wonderful evening. I remember a quiet guy with a beautiful voice singing Grey Funnel Line. Great campsite, beer, fish n' chips, Robin Hood's Bay has it made!

Dont go in the Grosvenor.The bar staff are rude, argumentative and dis-respectful of their customers.They welcome folkies as a rule, but not when they've already taken a fortune over the bar from the football.We were told that we had to drink in silence.
