Of course, anyone who wants to come to that is more than welcome. It's up in the Northeast Kingdom, the easiest part of Vermont to get to from Maine... Peter |

Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Barbara Shaw Date: 21 Jun 10 - 04:21 PM We're going! Finally made the decision and just reserved a site (204) in the music-at-night RV section. C'mon by for a few old songs after the scheduled events. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Barbara Shaw Date: 21 Jun 10 - 04:37 PM Does anyone know if the electrical outlets in the 200's are 20 or 30 amp? |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Ref Date: 21 Jun 10 - 07:55 PM I don't know numbers, but we've been running our trailer, a minifridge, and my CPAP machine for three years without blowing anything up. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: bbc Date: 21 Jun 10 - 09:03 PM As usual, Duane D. & I will be there. Duane will be helping Caroline at the Folk Legacy booth. Hope to see all of you there! I will be celebrating the end of school & the beginning of summer. Yay! Barbara |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Barbara Shaw Date: 21 Jun 10 - 09:25 PM Well, we're used to rough camping with no power, so it's not an issue. Just wondered if we would have a haven with a/c respite in case of a major heat wave. I think the a/c needs 30 amp. Come to think of it, I seem to remember Kendall and Jacqui coming into our camper for some a/c a few years ago... |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: GUEST,kendall Date: 22 Jun 10 - 07:26 AM We will be on site number 205 so we will both have good neighbors on one side anyway. Don't forget your ground fault interrupter. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: maeve Date: 22 Jun 10 - 07:37 AM Have a wonderful time, everyone. I can't see any way you could NOT enjoy the lineup and the company of the Mudcat friends who will be there. maeve |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Charlie Baum Date: 22 Jun 10 - 09:08 AM I'll be there, camping (quiet site 545--so I'll come make music late-night with the noisy folks elsewhere), if you're still up). I'm camping with three former housemates/roommates from different times in my life, one of whom has never met the other two. I'll see you all if you're there. --Charlie Baum |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Midchuck Date: 22 Jun 10 - 09:20 AM I really wish I were going, especially if K&J are going after all. But not enough to give up the Craftsbury gig. P. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: GUEST,kendall Date: 22 Jun 10 - 09:49 AM Thanks Peter |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: maeve Date: 22 Jun 10 - 10:14 AM Y'all will have such a good time together! |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 22 Jun 10 - 03:58 PM Kendall! You're coming! Hooray! I got out the tent and supplies this afternoon- we think the ol' popup just isn't probly that reliable this year. So far the forecast is ideal weather for the weekend! Fingers and toes are crossed... |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Jeri Date: 22 Jun 10 - 08:47 PM Don, you didn't answer my PM, so I'm bringing a 1.75 ml bottle of Bombay Sapphire. You'll need to bring the tonic, limes, and probably, aspirin. I'll have ibuprofen. I'm on site BestWestern... I may actually MISS camping if K & J are there and I have to drive back to the hotel. I want one of those Jake style pyramid camper thingies. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Noreen Date: 22 Jun 10 - 09:26 PM Only 1.75 ml of Bombay Sapphire, Jeri? That won't go far! This sounds like a great 'do', with lots of lovely people. Wonder if I could get there one year? :) |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: GUEST,DonMeixner Date: 23 Jun 10 - 12:06 AM Noreen, Jeri is only having fun at my expense. She knows Cindy and I don't travel dry. And we discovered a few years ago at Old Songs that a large slice of watermelon in the glass along with the Gin and Tonic and Lime makes for a very good drink. You get the camper Jeri, I'll stick with a B&B, Best Western, Motel 6....which ever has a private shower. Don |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: KT Date: 23 Jun 10 - 02:02 AM ! I love thinking about all of you all there together having a grand time! Here's hoping for great weather, great music and great fun! (we already know there will be great company!) KT |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: bbc Date: 23 Jun 10 - 06:30 AM Jeri, Caroline will be at Best Western. Look for her at breakfast. We'll be next door at Days Inn. Kendall, I'm glad you're rejoining us. Bringing the good wife, I assume? Allison, congrats on the radio show! best, Barbara |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Jeri Date: 23 Jun 10 - 06:34 AM Bbc, I think Kendall's bringing the other one. Don, I usually DO have fun at your expense... well, other than spending a bunch of money on shiny silver things, which I still plan to do. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Brian Peters Date: 23 Jun 10 - 06:50 AM And don't forget 'Songs of Trial & Triumph', an hour and a half of murder, magic and mayhem, when I go deep into the Child Ballads. In the Sheep Barn at 3.00 on Saturday. Be there! |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: GUEST,kendall Date: 23 Jun 10 - 07:04 AM Yes, I decided to have a go at it once more.Maintaining my "Mad on" was robbing me of seeing old friends at Old Songs, and the ones I was mad at probably couldn't care less anyway, so here we com. |

Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: DonMeixner Date: 23 Jun 10 - 11:03 AM See Kendall, old dogs can learn new tricks. Altho' it's a trick you should have learned when you were 12. See you there Captain. Don |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: DebC Date: 23 Jun 10 - 11:28 AM I am really looking forward to seeing everyone as well. Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: Peg Date: 24 Jun 10 - 08:12 AM I started this thread, oops, sorry it said GUEST. My friend Hannah and I are coming for the day, probably will stay somewhat late for the evening singing festivities. (My husband is gonna drop us off and pick us up). She's a wonderful singer who grew up in a travelling singing family (the Dunns) in England. I live just up the road in Albany so am not going to camp this year; but if any of you want a shower, feel free to come to my house, it's only about a 20 minute drive (certainly less time than waiting in line at the truck). Woodchucks, sorry not to see you this year but many congrats on that great gig! I look forward to hearing Elizabeth Laprelle; Barry Finn raved about her and thought I would like her singing very much. Of course Old Songs will not be the same without Barry. |
Subject: RE: Old Songs?? (2010) From: WFDU - Ron Olesko Date: 24 Jun 10 - 11:26 PM I intend to post "reports" from Old Songs on my website during the weekend. I'm updating my website (which is why I've been quiet lately), and this is one of the fun items I'm planning. www.ronolesko.blogspot.com |
