Subject: RE: Obit: Frank Tupling - 20 June 2010 From: GUEST,Andy Date: 24 Jun 10 - 12:34 PM Very sad news Ian. Frank was a lovely mild mannered bloke, liked by all. He will be missed. I made the announcement at Kiveton Park Folk Club on Tuesday night and we all joined in the singing of 'The Life of a Man' for Frank. I'm sure he will find a safe harbour. Regards and condolences Andy and the folk of Kiveton Park Club |

Subject: RE: Obit: Frank Tupling - 20 June 2010 From: GUEST,Debbie Fidler (nee Saywood) Date: 01 Jul 10 - 05:50 AM I am so very sad to hear the news about Frank which I've just heard about having been working away the last few weeks. My sincere condolensces to Ian and also to David, and your families, and of course particularly to Matthew. Despite it being many many years ago now, I hold Frank entirely responsible for my love of the guitar and folk, both playing and listening which I have also passed onto my son James. My warmest thoughts and wishes to all, Debbie |

Subject: RE: Obit: Frank Tupling - 20 June 2010 From: GUEST,Ian Tupling Date: 02 Jul 10 - 04:41 AM Debbie, what a lovely surprise. Thank you for your message. Frank continued with his involvement with festivals and folk clubs until a few years ago when ilness meant he could not go into smoky atmospheres and other family matters caused him to give up his involvement with folk music outside the home. I am still very much involved far more so than the last time we met. If you want to know more personally you can leave a message at the contact on the following web site - www.loctuptogether.co.uk/. Sylvia and Keith - Thanks so much for your message. I will see you later in the year. |
Subject: RE: Obit: Frank Tupling - 20 June 2010 From: GUEST Date: 08 Jul 10 - 06:19 AM Dear Ian, Debbie passed onto us the lovely messages from various members of the "folk fraturnity" & clearly he was fondly thought off by all those he came into contact with - it was especially lovely to hear that they sang a song im memory to him - feel sure he would have joined in. We heard the sad news from Janette & have sent a cheque to the Alzheimers Society but please keep in touch. Like everyone we share the same feelings at the news. Gerald & Marjorie Saywood. |
