I may be late with this, BBC R3 are repeating their Appalachian road trip. Last week was the Mount Airy Fiddlers convention, this weeks is N Carolina, next week Georgia. All available on BBC IPlayer.

Radio 3 probably average at least as much folk music as Radio 2 taken over the year although there seems to be less in Late Junction now that Verity has left the show.
