13,14,15 Aug.
Grove Oxon
OX12

Nick Dow,Isambarde, Dave Webber & Anni Fentiman, Tony & Peartl O'Neil, Bill McKinnon, Icknield Way Morris Men, Cornucopia, Ridgeway Step Clog, Rose Hips Belly Dancers, Vale Islanders.
Randon with Cat Kelly.
Concert, Ceilidh, workshops, singarounds, music sessions.
Lots of drinking! Fantastic campsite, 24 hour loos & hot showers.
The whole lot + camping only £24-00 for the weekend,OAP £20-00, under 16 free. Sat. adult £18-00 inc. camping, Sat. OAP adult inc. camping £14-00. Well dehaved dogs very welcome. Various seperate tickets for events as required.

Got back from Lechlade today, so just time for a quick turnaround of the caravan and it'll be time to set off again ! I believe that "The Fenners" will be visiting this year, and Karen & I hope that Dave F will join us for something very "Non-Folk" at this year's new "What The Folk " feature !! Quite a few "Lechladers" are coming,too,some for the first time,but sadly Merek,Dary,and Trefor W will be otherwise engaged at "The Crop Ready" thing !!

We'll be there, packing the caravan now, well not 'now,' I'm sitting at my computer! Greyhound 'Magic' know's somethings up and doesn't know whether to stay by the caravan or follow me to make sure she doesn't miss out on anything!

Oh what a brilliant weekend! Huge thanks to Dave and Kate for all their hard work in putting this together and keeping it running smoothly. Highlight for me was meeting Nick Dow on Saturday morning, though the concert (including Nick Dow) and singarounds were pretty good too. Am only sorry that it poured with rain just as the dance displays were supposed to begin outside the Bell.

Looking forward to next year's festival!

Yes !! Absolutely brilliant ! (except the weather).What can one say about Isambarde ? --and Mr Dow ? The concert,also featuring the UK's newest citizen,George P , was just wonderful. So, here is the list (in the absence of Hils) of those "Catters" that I know of :

   Bubblyrat...Wild Flying Dove....Cats....Leadfingers....The Admiral....Mrs Admiral....Councllr...Bonecruncher...The Barden of England....Trayton....Skipy.....Herga Kitty....and some whose Cat names I know not, viz. Dave Fenner, Sarah Davis, and of course George Papavgeris.

Well, Nessie for a start ....guests Frog & Frogette, Wuzzle, Doktor Doktor, Billy Suggers, Lizabee, Hovering Bob, BobtB, Jesterbob... Isambarde's Jude and Chris are Catters too I think.

More than 50 people sang in the Friday evening singaround and it took 3 hours to get round the singers.

What is a festival? Well it's not the buildings, they are just bricks, or in the case of the scout hut somoe bits of wood. A festival is the people that attend it! Without the people & their voices there would no festival just empty buildings, so pat yourselves on the back, for you are the festival.

Thanks to Dave and Kate for the best "Grove" ever.
It was great to see and hear Graham Metcalfe and Lucinda, over from Canada after a bit of a gap. Graham has grown considerably younger since his marriage. Well done Lucinda!
We heard a few comments about changes, over the weekend, but a good slogan for the Fest, should anybody want one, could be "Why Spoil Perfection"

What a brilliant weekend. Maidenhead Folk Club welcomed us as if we were regulars and to be made so welcome at Grove by people we have only met once before was superb.
