This will take place at the Achness hotel in Rosehall, on the last weekend in October.
It's just a weekend session, with myself and Dave Goulder among others. In past years we have had Jim Bainbridge, and Brian Miller, among others, so it is usually a good session.
The more the merrier, the hotel is in lovely Sutherland countryside, and the food is great.There are lots of picturesque places to go walking, which many people do on the Saturday.

There is also camping space available at no charge. Although it will be more caravan and camper weather, than tent time.
Nearest station is Lairg, and I can arrange collection from there if required.

This always sounds like a wonderful gathering, John; such beautiful countryside, as well. I'm sure you and Dave will find a flood of music-makers to join in the fun.

Hi John,

We might well be up for it again this year having missed last year and fallen asleep for the duration the year before that(although S may have to go South as her second grandchild is due around that time). Four musicians from our session in Dunblane could be interested as well. Would that be a problem if there are sufficient rooms available at the hotel?

No problems room wise at the moment Richard, and I apologise for not answering sooner, but I was in Denmark at Skagen Festival when you posted, and it had disappeared by the time I returned.
Fair bit of interest so far.

There will be a ceilidh on the Saturday night, and this is in addition to all the other goings on, sessions, raffles, etc.

Ahem, sorry. One must not talk in such a manner in the music section. Gut gosh golly gee whiz... I ain't never seen nothin like it far as fiddles goes. It's a work of art.
