Just a quick heads up for September...... The Young'uns & Hissyfit will be gracing the KFFC stage on Sept 25th. Tickets selling well already, just message me if you would like to reserve some or want more info!

This is a fantanstic line up..... I'm really looking forward to it!!

You could always sneak up here for a few hours for the classiest nights entertainment in the county that weekend.......... you'd be more than welcome.

We have just seen The Young'uns at Shrewsbury FF. They were absolutely superb - they had 1000+ people laughing during their concert!! Great singing and great humour. Big name to have on the bill at your club - very lucky!

I think there is an opportunity for campervans to park up if you reserve with Paul and also he has an accomodation deal sorted at a very reasonable price- I may bring homemade biscuits as well so how could anyone not come! (Ask Jim McDonald about my shortbread)

The Young Un (also known as The Bastard Sons of the Wilsons) were indeed on top form at Shrewsbury and as for Linda's shortbread well I have to say I had a When Harry Met Sally moment whilst eating some of linda's delish produce at Saddleworth. have a good one folks

Two of Sean's best songs on the new CD Stockton Town and Love Song-quite superb. Dont know about big venues but we sat in the Station in Whitby-The Younguns Jim Causley Hissyfit and a couple of others quite happy to sing to anyone who wanted to listen. One of the few occassions when size doesnt matter!

Size of the venue?

Not that big, it is licensed for 105 but we'll be keeping numbers down to 80(ish) as we have to fit the bar in as well...... oh, and mountains of shortbread!!!

My kids think "No More Frying Bacon" (wrotten bt Sean)is the best thing on the album. They've already learned it and performed it in a singaround at Wadebridge Folk Festival last week ...... hope Sean doesn't mind!! They have been taught to credit things properly!!

Hartlepool song is the best ever - and Love song was wonderful when we asked/demanded Sean sing it with Kimbers men, La Kelly + moi at the end of a mini gig in Cleckheaton.

Birthday Bash date is 12 - 14th November. Another great line - up: Jez Lowe, Duncan McFarlane Acoustic Band, Trim Rig & A Doxy (assuming Derek is OK), Acoustica, C13, John & Caroline Bushby and much, much more. Plenty of singaround time, booked floor spots, Real Ale Bar.... etc, etc!

I'd love to have those Hissy Girls and The Young'un lads back for the weekend..... unfortunately the budget only goes so far though.

I do have a sneaky feeling that both acts will be invited back in the not too distant future ........

It was an absolutely brilliant evening with everyone on fine form. A shining example of a brilliant folk club.

You and Wendy have every reason to be proud Paul. The children were brilliant as well. I know of few youngsters who would sit through a 3hr+ concert and be as well behaved as yours. The vidoe doesn't really do them justice - it was a magic moment, particularly seeing the joy on their faces as the came off stage.

I have just watched a documentary on West Hartlepool and I have to agree all the Hartle Pudlians that I have met over the years are a very friendly bunch and they all have a great sense of community.

Bill presents his amazing song cycle with narrative commemerating the 50th anniversary (in 2009) of the Auchengeich Colliery disaster. Helping him out with this are: John Bushby (Pipes & lots more) Caroline Bushby (Harp & Vocals) & Wendy Arrowsmith Vocals, guitar & lots more) . Bill is a superb singer and guitar player.
