Max has been finding ways to help Mudcat support itself. One of these is the record shop. The green links are part of that. See the message directly under the blue search box in the upper right that starts 'News as of 20 Aug 99.'

The links go to recordings that have song titles with the same words in them. The companies that sell these records (Camsco and Folk Legacy, I believe) have agreed to give a cut to Mudcat for records that are purchased through Mudcat.

Hmmm... looks kind of unfamiliar. I don't know yet what to make of it, having only just got back from three weeks of Mudcat withdrawal in Scotland.
However, as far as I'm concerned anything that allows the Mudcat to go on in its present form (more or less - certain changes are inevitable, of course, but not in the basic idea and the substance, please!) is welcome to me.
I don't know yet what else happened while I was on holiday but I'm relieved and pleased the Mudcat's still working and, hopefully, everybody still on board. It was only when trouble started that I realised how much of a home on the net this community has become to me.
Glad to be back! And thanks to Max for constantly coming up with new ideas to keep it alive!
Susanne
