Subject: Lyr Req: Rebel song from 1970s From: GUEST,Martin Dardis Date: 02 Sep 10 - 04:29 AM I'm looking for the lyrics to a ballad from the early 70's. Here is what lyrics I have so far. Thanks Oh woe is me, when will I see my land at peace again? Is blood spilled, have James Connolly and Casement died in vain? Who can be free when bigotry and hate walk hand in hand? For the enemy have come again and there's blood upon the land. Would it be fair to take the air all alone I chanced to stray Along the road to Derry Town on a lovely summer's day The smell of hate was everywhere, death wore an orange gown And a small child died in the streets that night of bloody Derry Town. |
