Help! Internet Explorer thinks my screen resolution is less than it actually is. It's set properly in Windows, so that's not the problem. All my other programs work properly, so it's an IE problem. Anybody got any ideas? This sucks!

hi

I am getting this too but mine happens when I try to go into Yahoo Mail from Firefox.

You're in Windows 7 right?? Cos I have exactlt the same layout on another laptop in Vista and it doesn't happen with that.

Interesting to know if this is being seen by others and if anyone knows what the reason is - cxan we fix it??

cheers

MikeL2

If all other apps have no problem with the resolution, then you may have inadvertedly "zoomed" in or out in IE. To check, click View then Zoom. If the dot marks anything other than the 100% choice, then that is your problem... correct it and all's well.

With View-Text Size you can also check that you have the font size you prefer.

George, that was it! You are a lifesaver. Or a screensaver, not sure which. Thanks so much! I'll have to remember that if it happens again.

Glad it's sorted, Jeff. It happened to me and to Nessie too in the past. It usually happens when you are trying to type + or _ which require Shift to be pressed. But Shift is right next to Ctrl and the hand can slip and mistakenly hit simultaneously Ctrl and + or Ctrl and - (zoom in/out). It is very disconcerting until you find out what happened!

Hi george

You got in one.

I have been using Shift+ and shift - a lot and I must have hit control instead.

Many thanks

Cheers
