I have Just heard John Tams and Barry Coope sing "Will I see Thee More" at The Rock, Maltby, South Yorkshire. I believe it was written by John McCusker.
Would anyone have the Lyrics please?

Must I be bound to leave your side?
When all my heart is begging me to bide
And every step takes me further from your door.
Will I see thee more,
Will I see thee more?

Shield me ffrom the burning sky
The blinding storms around me fly
A host of poppies, hidden in great store
Will I see thee more,
Will I see thee more?

And all the Queen's horses and all of her men
Cannot put the world together again
Another war to end all war
Will I see thee more,
Will I see thee more?

And if peace comes, then let it be soon
November rain, the empty tomb
Christian soldiers marching as to war
Will I see thee more,
Will I see thee more?

And all the Queen's horses...........

Must I be bound to leave your side,
When all thy heart is begging me to bide
And every step's still further from your door
Will I see thee more,
Will I see thee more?

And all the Queen's horses......

BUT - after 'another war to end all war' there's 'I think they've told us all of this before'
then 'Will I see thee more,
Will I see thee more.

Yes, written by John McCusker for the Under One Sky project. Try and listen to Jim Causley sing it - rathewr different from John Tams.

The melody is by JM but the lyrics are by JT I believe

As JT explains in his performance with Barry Coope

JT 'What do you want the song to be about John?'
JM 'About 3 minutes'

Thanks Terry and Joe, now you mention it Joe I seem to remember John's introduction to the song and to his writing of the words.
I have just listened to Jim Causley's version Terry as you suggested, and yes it is different and I find I like both versions. It is such a good song.
I have already started practicing, my voice being around the same key as Jim's, maybe my version will be a combination of both, although just a pale imitation of either of theirs.

I came across it on a YouTube video by John Tams, and at the end he simply says 'John McCusker' so I assumed he'd written both words and melody.

I think it's a glorious tune and learnt it immediately. I do it in F, but capo it to the third fret, so the chords are all 'D shapes.'
