Subject: Jumping from a burning house... From: HåvardR Date: 24 Aug 99 - 05:12 PM This is something in between a poem and a song (the way I heard it anyway, LATE at night from a VERY drunk singer) Think the author is a Glaswegian (judging from the language as well), but I can't remember his name, nor the excact lyrics. Here a fragment (approximately) As I went out walking one fine summer's evening I saw a house on fire A a man was standing on top of it "JUMP, you fucker, JUMP!" "JUMP on this blanket we are holding up, and you'll be allright" He jumped, hit the deck, broke his neck THERE WAS NO BLANKET! we laughed! ... ... ... for we are miserable buggars- Assholes! Sorry about the explicit lyrics Håvard |
