My guests this week on Folk Roots/Folk Branches are John Roberts and Tony Barrand. John and Tony have been harmonizing on their amazing repertoire of English folk songs for 30 years. Our conversation will be interspersed with a bunch of their recordings.

Mudcatters in the Montreal area can hear the show on CKUT, 90.3 FM on Thursday morning from 9-11:30 (that's EDT). On the web, we're in RealAudio in real time. The CKUT RealAudio feed is available from the Folk Roots/Folk Branches web site.

Forgot to mention that the conversation with John & Tony will be in the show's second hour. Lots of other great music on show.

Nice timing. I've got my little surgery scheduled for Thurs AM. For Roberts & Barrand I'd postpone it.

School has begun- I'll be in Peer Mediation Training all day. Anyone going to tape it? I'd love to hear John and Tony (and Mike, of course!)

As of 7:50 am (EDT) this morning, CKUT's RealAudio server is down. I've reported the problem and I'm hoping it'll be restored by 9 am when Folk Roots/Folk Branches goes on-air. However, I have my doubts and can't make any promises.

My appologies to any web listeners who may not be able to tune in today.

Peg, there's a Nowell Sing We Clear web page, but it just has last year's stuff on it. They usually come to Portsmouth NH, and will likely perform somewhere closer to Boston, or in Boston.

They are both extremely cool ,IMHO, Peg. I booked them for our little festival here in Homestead, South Florida in February, and they were marvellous. They didn't buy me a drink, but what do you expect from bloody Yorkshiremen ...............

I thought John was from Worchestershire. Anyway, I'd bet that they'll do a show in the Albany, New York area as well. It's a fantastic show, see it if you possibly can!
