...And from somewhere in the distance the sound of Joe's Naughty Step being made ready could be heard, loud and clear.. ;0)

Would they be the ones who stick to the 1950/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 rules and regulations, John?

Calling me a singer may be stretching it a bit, but otherwise - agree.

Just because James taylor has spent most of his life constantly seen in the middle of the road, that doesn't mean that he's actually roadkill ywt. No matter that he's recorded "The Water Is Wide" (as it seems the p0p-folkies all do to maintain to maintain contact to their roots), Sweet Baby James' crossover potential remains unlimited, including the street so he need not cry. As we used to lovingly sing about Mr. Bojangles' dog:

"....Or he thought it died.
After twenty years it still breaths..."

There's still a spark in the Old Baby yet! After all, he holds the copyright on "The Secret O' Life", which is more than you or I do.....

There! That should cover the rest of it! I also might subtitle "Folksingers who are on their way out!" That should make it worthy of some discussion.

Someone did mention that Tim Laycock seems to get younger and younger looking and wondered if there was a portrait hidden in his attic.

I've known quite a few musicians who were technically alive but were dead as soon as they opened their mouths.

Well, I see that along with the dead folkies thread, and the living folkies, and this living dead (undead?) folkies thread, there's another thread active: When I die, don't bury me at all."
