Perhaps one of the Irish Catters can help with this one. I sent an email to the Goilin Singers Club asking for information about next year's Frank Harte Festival, but it got bounced back with a message that it was undeliverable because the recipient's mail box was full. I was wondering specifically about dates and times and performers. (I'm assuming there will be a festival!)

Many thanks

Edmund

We have cashed in our AirMiles and, God wiling, we will be landing in Dublin on 19 September. We will be spending three weeks in Ireland. I'm looking forward to meeting and singing with some Irish Catters. My last musical adventure in Ireland was the Ballyshannon Folk Festival in 1993, so I have some catching up to do.

Organisation of FHF 2011 is well underway. Artists booked, band organised (secret lineup, but word from sombody who has the inside track tells me it will be; WOW!). The Sunday walk is being organised as I type and I can reveal that it will probably take place in the dead-centre of Dublin and it will definitely be a spiritual experience (even for athiests and skeptics).

No doubt, Martin will have a good idea what that cryptic hint indicates.

If you can be in Clare on Fri 7th October it would be well worth a trip to Duggans Pub Singers Club, Spancil Hill for What is affectionately known as Robbie's first Fri.

Robbie, 84 last December, is absolutely flying. Singing usually starts around 10pm. The first 5 hours are so are usually the best!!!!

Spancil Hill on 7 October is a distinct possibility. We fly back on the 9th. I'd like to go Spancil Hill for the sake of the song (but I'd have to stay in Ireland for a very long time if that was the criterion for where I went.)

What kind of accomodations are there in Spancil Hill, and how's the public transportation to Dublin? We would need to be in Dublin by evening on 9 October.

We have booked our B&B in Dublin for 19-26 September. After that plans are still fluid, but will likely involve going to the Aran Islands for a week or so.

Any expert local knowledge about how to get to Spancil Hill and where to stay would be welcome.

Many thanks

Edmund
