Subject: RE: UK Canal Accessible Folk Events 2011 From: Ian Hendrie Date: 01 Jan 11 - 06:03 PM As I research this from a distance, and may therefore not be correct, the Moira Furnace Folk Festival takes place beside part of the Ashby Canal. Unfortunately this newly restored section will need to be connected to the rest of the canal network before I can visit it on my boat. Somebody, please tell me I'm wrong! |

Subject: RE: UK Canal Accessible Folk Events 2011 From: Mr Red Date: 06 Jan 11 - 10:00 AM Upton Upon Severn 29 -2(BH) Apr-May 2011 You just can't get closer to the venues! Somers TFC near Diglis Basin Worcester every Fri. Woodman FC Kingswinford in the Marina Fri Oxford FC Fri Bath FC close to the canal. Various dates and they have a Festival In fact in my area you can surf to geographical (found here) filter - choose a town you know has a canal/river and find things within 20 (plus 20) Km radius or better still notch the area down to 10km (6 miles).
