A Monday night folk club is about to start next Monday 21/02/2011 at the Falcon Pup in Mexborough, it is a lovely pub, warm and friendly. It has the backing and full support of the pub management.

Here is the full address.

Falcon
12 Main Street
Mexborough
South Yorkshire
S64 9DW

A lady called Roz will be running the club with an informal style.

If I hear of further news I will post as and when.

It has been proposed an early start of 8pm.

No official finish time but 11pm or maybe later has been suggested so plenty of opportunity for plenty of tunes through the evening.

Good luck with the new club. I'll try and talk Mick into it but it won't be on the first night.

Is it going to be weekly?

Rhiannon

You're unfortunately clashing with the Monday night tune/song session in the Doncaster Ukrainian club....

Sorry Ray but whatever evening we choose we will clash with some club or another, it's always a problem. I hope it doesn't affect you in any way.

What a fantastic night, entertained by Paul and Liz Davenport, now that was a TREAT.

Their Album Launch tomorrow at the Hillsborough Hotel sounds like an evening not to be missed.

Next Monday folks!

Hi Ian, Nice to see you are involved in a Folk Club again, I hope all goes well.
I have just seen the thread, unfortunately a little late to come tonight.
I will try next week.
It also clashes with Barnsley FC as well, but could lead to more variety and choice on a Monday night.
