I'm looking for the proper spelling of this amazing Newfie Band.

Any help from someone who has it handy would be appreciated, also anything like a discography.

They have some great stuff, I really want the moose song and many others but I cant find them in my local record stores.

Both my CD (Flatout)and the song book say “Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers”

The CD (dated 1990 so this may be out of date) says “Third Wave Productions, Box 563, Gander, Newfoundland A1V 1W8, [phone] It also lists Cassettes TWP002 - Nods ‘N’ Winks TWP003 - Flatout (same as my CD I guess) TWP004 - Makin for the Harbour.

The songbook (dated 1991) is published by Vinland Music 65 Colonial Street, St. John’s, Newfoundland Canada A1C 3N2 [phone])

They also publish: “Catch ahold this one...” subtitled songs of Newfoundland and Labrador Vol. 1 (Revised)

Btw. whats the title of their songbook?

and does 'Flatout' have "Shinny on the Ice" and the Corvet bit?

The book is just titled "Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers Songbook 1." ISBN is 0 9697153 1 5 Obviously further books were planned but I have no idea if they ever were published.

Been a while since I played the CD. No "Shinny on the Ice" on the credits. I'll play it again to check for the Corvette part.

Just today Kensington CD had the latest from the group. It's called Pop the Rivets and has a song called IM Looney. Haven't even played it but the lyric sheet for this song mentions a red chevette. Interesting that the live songs were recorded at 2 sites on Vancouver Island and at Abbotsford. Of course there are probably more Newfies spread across Canada than in Newfoundland proper.

Seems they have also put out:

"Miracle Cure" 1992.

"100% Pure" 1993.

"Salt Beef Junkie" 1995

"Up on Bust" 1996

as well as "Pop the Rivets"

Their address and phone are the same if you want to order stuff but they have a fax [phone]. Bookings and fan mail have 2 separate addresses listed. I haven't checked for a web site.

Either way just pick the one that reflects my admiration for their great music.
