Shame you can't watch it over there. Maybe it'll find its way to YouTube ... eventually! ;-)

Aye Donal he really was a wonderful singer, both to hear & to watch, as he put so much of himself into each song. My wife & I often heard him sing at the monthly singing session in Johnny Joe's, Cushendall.

Cheers
Dick

Likewise, it won't play in Australia, I think you need to be in UK, or maybe Europe, to be able to play BBC videos. Still, I do have Archie's audio tape - The Smith of Tiveragh.

Would love to, but it won't allow playing it in my area, darn it!

Subject: Archie McKeegan on Ulster TV tonight!
From: Ptarmigan
Date: 14 Mar 11 - 06:09 PM

Did anyone else see the late & great Glens of Antrim singer
Archie McKeegan on BBC Ulster tonight?

Those Were the Days! at 7.30pm

There were a couple of very nice clips of him near the start of the prog, from back in the 1970s & the very last clip is him on the side of the road .... thumbing a lift. ............ No doubt heading for Johnny Joe's! :-)

Cheers
Dick
