I just don't want the Wiberly Woberly Workshop to lose thier way back to the Campsite from the Elephant and Castle Cath. We were a bit thin on the Ground last year as the Chricket Club hijacked a part of the crowed that should have been drinking the Elephant Dry. Just making sure that we get a good Crowed in the Elephant this year.

It's on the map in the programme - I wonder if James hasn't got the latest version to go on the web site. I'll have to check that one although it isn't actually that difficult to find.

Thanks a lot Tyke me owld buddy I'll ave a go but it looks a bit complicated for a techno-phobe like me. I can only just about send a text the long way round cos I can't cope with predictive text so it's a big ask!

But for your time and patience in giving me all those instructions you have definately earned a pint.

Muppett, me owld mukka, I'll continually insist on you singing your heart out and being the great performer that you are and when I find you flagging or getting hoarse I may have to supply liquid refreshment for medicinal purposes to keep you going.

Chris

Hang about it not up to me to keep a thread alive I have let nothing die Chris. What i can't understand is how after all these years you still can't do a Blue Cliky. The only thing I can come up with is that you think that it is a difficult thing to do. It's not it's Simples, I'm not having a go at you Chris, I know you have many other talents. So just follow these instructions.

1st Go to the Holmfirth Festival of Folk Website then turn it's full web address Blue by clicking and still holding down the Right Mouse Button drag over it.
2nd then press Ctrl and C keys together. This copy's the address.
DO NOT PRESS THE DELEAT KEY or you will replace what you have copied with what you have deleated.
3rd Open up the Mudcat and the thread you want to put you blue clicky.
4th Type in what you want to say when you get to the place in your Reply to Thread Click on the Blue Make a link ("blue clicky") which at the bottom right below the Repl to Thread Box.
5th This will open up a second window click on the Link ULR box and then Press Ctrl and v keys together this will paste they ULR into the box.
6th I you wish type the name of where the link will take you.
7th Then Click Create Link.
8th At the top of this page it says Cut and paste you can do that it's how we started but this time you highlight (Drag over with you Right Mouse Button held down) Then Press Ctrl and c keys down together (copy's highlighted). What you should have is the HTML Code that starts < and ends with >.
9th Paste this into your reply (Ctrl and v keys together)
10 If you want to you can check the preview box then submit message and you get a final preview so you can check it's OK.
11 If it is then Submit Message without the Preview box checked.

The Holmfirth Festival of Folk SIMPLES!

Sincere thanks GUEST.glueman for the blue clickety link to the Festival Website.
That is much appreciated and if you come across me on Saturday and find me dressed in a red army jacket and pith helmet, bashing a snare drum with the Slubbing Billys morris dance team, please do introduce yourself and I will buy you a pint. That's a promise!

Chris

I was going to let this thread die and stand aside to let Tyke's initial thread about this festival have a chance to take the reins and promote it as much as possible but he has allowed it to sink into oblivion and so is no longer promoting this brilliant festival. This is a great shame because this gem of a festival really deserves a big push - especially to people who have not been to it before because I know they will love it (and Holmfirth) so much......SO....I will...continue!!
Sorry Tyke.

So who is coming to this little gem of a festival?.. it has a brilliant line up of concerts and workshops and a strong "fringe" presence with singers and musicians in the local pubs and the streets full of morris dance teams adding lots of fun and colour throughout the weekend.

I can't do the blue clickety stuff but just key in "Holmfirth festival of folk" to pull up the festival web site for all the information you will need.

You can book your festival tickets and camping (a huge campsite just a short stroll from the village for tents, campervans and caravans with 24 hour security provided by stewards). You can even book 'camping only' at only £5pppn without having to buy a festival ticket to be able to camp - and not a lot of festivals offer that sort of flexibility and inclusion for every sort of folkie fan!
This festival really does cater for everyone.

And...did you know that "Show of Hands" are kicking off the festival on Thursday night (5 May) at The Picturedrome... Not bad hey!!

Chris

As a grandfather yourself you know the scene!!

Enjoy

Many apols Tyke. I had done a trawl through the pages but not seen your thread for this festival which you started on 10 April.

I can't count your "George Clarke: An Apology" thread because the true subject matter [The Holmfirth Festival of Folk] is not in the thread title so folk would miss the primary objective.

Hiya guys and gals, who is coming to this jewel in the crown Folk Festival in one of the most beautiful parts of bonny Yorkshire (the setting for the 'Last of the Summer Wine' TV series)?

With a superb line up of concerts, dance, workshops, lots of morris dance teams, childrens events and many more happenings arranged and an excellent no cost fringe scene with music and song in many of the village pubs and hotels all day round this has to be the place to be to get the true atmosphere of a real and remarkable Folk Festival.

With a beautiful campsite just a short stroll from the heart of the village everything is close and at hand including accomodation, good restaurants, wine bars, fish and chips and fast food, lots of real ale and a superb micro brewery at 'The Nook' with award winning ales!

I can't do the blue clickitty stuff but I am sure someone will come on-line soon to put up the Holmfirth Festival of Folk web site for you to view.

Where is George Clarke (Tyke) when you need him?!!

Come and enjoy. See ya there. If you have'nt been before you'll love it. Trust me and enjoy the warm Yorkshire welcome!!

Chris
