Subject: If you were a Star Wars character From: Marion Date: 20 Sep 99 - 12:57 PM The exotic dancer thing reminded me of something I saw on another board: "Everyone's heard the methods by which we can determine our Soap Opera names and our Romance Writer names. But here's another new twist on an old theme. It appears that Lucas uses a formula to create all those names you see in the Star Wars trilogy and Phantom Menace (Jar Jar Binks, Obi Wan, etc.). Well... I have gotten ahold of the formula! To see what your Star Wars name is, follow the steps below... Star Wars First Name ---------------------- #1: Take the first 3 letters of your last name. #2: Add to that, the first 2 letters of your first name. Star Wars Last name --------------------- #1: Take the first 2 letters of your mother's maiden name. #2: Add to that the first 3 letters of the name of the town or city you were born in. There you go! There's your Star Wars Name." This would make me Parma Clott. I don't know what the formulas are for Soap Opera names or Romance Novel names. Can anyone suggest a formula for a ballad hero name? Marion |

Subject: RE: BS: If you were a Star Wars character From: katlaughing Date: 20 Sep 99 - 05:13 PM Geez, I think I must've divined his method, already for the First name: KatLa, unless we wemoon are supposed to use our maidenly names, which would make my First name, KatHu (ooo, sounds more exotic alien!), esp. with the SW Last name, YoWill, so... KatHu Yowil, sounds like a question followed by someone hollering for the Fresh Prince of Belair, Will Smith! |
Subject: RE: BS: If you were a Star Wars character From: Jeri Date: 20 Sep 99 - 05:31 PM Kat, I think your Star Wars first name would be Lafka. My name turns out to be Corje Masch, unless I use the perinatal town I lived, in which case I'd be Corje Maalp. I think I like "Money Hill" better - maybe I'll just be an exotic dancer in the Star Wars night club. Or maybe use my Mom and Dad's middle names and be Amine Elwin. |

Subject: RE: BS: If you were a Star Wars character From: bseed(charleskratz) Date: 21 Sep 99 - 03:20 AM I kind of like mine: Kracha Ormas, but it sounds more Hungarian than Lucasian. (I fudged a letter to get a two syllable first name. Also, if I'd been just Krach, Patpa would have started bombing me with crabs powder or something.) My wife would be Sasto Katag and my son (using his professional name) would be Sasjo Sasbe. --seed |

Subject: RE: BS: If you were a Star Wars character From: Barbara Date: 21 Sep 99 - 12:59 PM Alison, I think if you stick to the formula, you are actually Boyal or Alboy. (I interpreted it to mean "add the first two letters of your first name to [the end] of the letters of your last name". It all depends on whether you want to be alloyed with a boil or vice versa. Subject: RE: BS: If you were a Star Wars character From: MMario Date: 21 Sep 99 - 02:12 PM The problem with these type of things is I can never decide WHICH name to use! It's gets even more confusing when you figure out that most of my personalities either don't have surnames, don't know their parents names, or aren't sure who their parents are! And most of them don't know where they were born. it's never been relavent before. but one of them would be "Loube LoSke" |

Subject: RE: BS: If you were a Star Wars character From: Alice Date: 21 Sep 99 - 05:33 PM Urgent message from Flyal McGre: Somewhere on Tatooine, there is a secret droid factory, producing assasin droids who are programmed to identify and eliminate the Cantina Band. Band members are on route to safety by an underground railroad. Any Mudcat volunteers who wish to fight the droid army can contact the Rebel Spy, code name, Flyry FlaBoz, aka Miliki, at rlflynn@email.com to aid in re-programming the assasin droids. Alternatively, if you want to help re-program the Band to play a different tune, well, contact George Lucas. |
