Blatant plug I'm afraid and a little late too. I've forgotten to let friends know that I'll be sharing some songs at Llantrisant Folk Club this coming Wednesday 22nd June 2011.

I'm really looking forward to singing at Llantrisant again and I'm dusting off my very best songs for the occasion. Hope to see some good friends there and I know there'll be some good singing....

Hils

Apologies, will be further east on Wednesday. I know that Llantrisant is in for a treat, though!

Kitty

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Llantrisant, such a friendly club! Huge thanks to Patti & Ned for giving me the opportunity to sing some songs and to enjoy the performances of the very talented Regulars.

Just thought I'd list the songs I sang:

Hunting Witches (Maureen McGuinness)
Searching for Lambs (Trad)
The Bergen (Jez Lowe)
Dear Diary (John Warner)
Scrubbing the Miners Clothes (John Warner)
Battlefield Tree (Lucy Burrow)
Jennifer's Rabbit (Tom Paxton)
Caledonia (Dougie MacLean) accompanied by Richard Atkins on Harmonica

The Wine Song (Grant Baynham)
Wayfaring Stranger (Trad)
Follow the Heron (Karine Polwart) accompanied by Richard Atkins on Harmonica
The Higgler (Tony Franklin)
The Snows the Melt the Soonest (Thomas Doubleday)
When Fishes Fly (collected by Cecil Sharpe)
Go With a Smile (Brian Bedford)

Those Were the Days (Gene Raskin)

Fantastic evening! Followed up on Thursday by an excellent visit to the Big Pit Coalmine at Blaenafon! Now that really is worth a visit!
