Actually, with Ashley watching from the shadows it's not completely 'all new'. I suspect there will be smiles of recognition when they debut…if it was all new it'd have a different name surely?

Why are the younger generation being introduced? There are still three members of the older generation of performers that have not been members of the Albion Band yet.

Why "surely"? The Albion Band is a way of playing I think Ashley said during the Albion Band documentary - I'll need to check.

I think it was Phil Beer who said that the Albion Band was the folk equivalent of jury service.

Can't claim to have originated that one unfortunately. Good luck to the new venture though. I like the idea of a generational new version of the band and Blair is a very impressive singer, writer and performer. Not a bad actor as well!!

Ah yes, the good old Half Moon. Putney used to be a stamping ground of mine in the late 60s/early 70s, with a bunch of mates that included singer/songwriters Kevin Coyne and Nick Cudworth who were then in a band called Siren. As well as the Half Moon we'd drink in The Bricklayer's Arms and go for a sing with Kevin and Nick around the piano in the Star and Garter. Happy days!

Wonder why those talented performers want to be associated with the Albion Band name rather than a new moniker? They're each pretty much established on the scene and the Albion Band brand has been coasting for a while...

Now that was great dance team. The morris dance from the Return of the Compleat Dancing Master show was one of the best I have ever seen.
