I am about to wrap up (at my site Salut! Live ) a short "Song of the Day" series, which I can swear was launched in ignorance of Jon Boden's project, and have covered most of the artists I'd wish to include, though not all.

Harking back to discussions here about the role of the critic, I should stress that the series had no loftier aim than to offer video clips of versions of songs that have given me particular pleasure.

Sometimes, when I have desperately wanted this or that artist to be featured, but could not locate a clip of my preferred song, I have chosen another simply because it was available at YouTube.

But two songs I'd hate to omit if only I could find "embeddable" clips would be Leon Rossleson's Song of the Old Communist and Ron Kavana's original of Reconciliation. I have already posted a version of the latter (by the Cottars of Cape Breton) but would love to have access to Kavana's own, live or from a recording.

Can anyone help? I have no experience of embedding any film clip other than from YouTube where I have searched in vain for either item.
