Subject: RE: from Frug: keep singing but read this for update From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 02 Oct 11 - 12:11 PM What lovely news! I have been in Leamington Spa (the town) and remember a pretty, peaceful place (at least where I was!). I will picture Sassy there, walking down the High street and window shopping, maybe stopping for some curry, as my daughter and I did 5 years ago! She can and will be able to do such things, as time goes by, I'm sure! |

Subject: RE: from Frug: keep singing but read this for update From: GUEST,ChanteyLass Date: 02 Oct 11 - 12:22 AM Just the kind of news I (we?) were hoping for, especially the part about "one of the best facilities in the country." I'm smiling and still singing off-key. |
Subject: RE: from Frug: keep singing but read this for update From: GUEST,Frug Date: 01 Oct 11 - 07:22 PM Update........ Sassy has now been moved back to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch as she is now well on the road to recovery. This is a short term arrangement as she has been accepted for rehab in Leamington Spa, one of the best facilities in the country and is waiting for a vacancy. She is relaxed and happy and her progress has continued to astound. The assessing consultant is confident of "a most significant physical recovery" Her short term memory is a bit dodgy she has elements of confusion and some interesting and amusing flights of fantasy. When assessed for the rehab place, on being told that they felt she was an ideal candidate she asked "does that mean I've got the job"? The unphased consultant responded by saying "well lets give it 3 months and then we can talk about your employment options" More updates as we progress. We are hoping she will be home by Christmas. Frank xx |

Subject: RE: from Frug: keep singing but read this for update From: Frug Date: 18 Sep 11 - 08:55 PM Brief Update.... Sassy is progressing at a hell of a pace. Bits of confusion here and there but overall an exceptional recovery is on the cards. Drain out now for 7 days no apparent adverse effects. Trachy out for 2 days...coping well. Started soft food and drink ad lib.Sitting out of bed on occasions, Physical strength on LHS apparent and developing. Had to be shusshed by night staff for being overly chatty last night Tonight she asked about her mother for the first time and we gently gave her the news about Pollys death...she coped pretty well with that. She will make a strong recovery friends.......!! Frank, Sam and Dom |

Thanks for support and kindness and love thing.....signing off for a while, Frank. Sam and Dom |

Subject: RE: from Frug: keep singing but read this for update From: Joe Offer Date: 07 Sep 11 - 07:38 PM Careful what you say about the Johnson Girls, SINS. They have lots of friends around here. To mention them in the same breath with the name "Nixon," is a dangerous thing to do.... -Joe- |
Subject: RE: from Frug: keep singing but read this for update From: Frug Date: 07 Sep 11 - 07:31 PM Well its one thing to have my moves revealed but hey Sinsull now you're getting personal when you're talking about who did the Frug.....I'll check my diary to see if there's any truth in it !! Sassy Update......brilliant day again, according to the physios she's taking the hurdles 2 at a time, couple of hours with the trach. capped off, took orange juice and yoghurt, talking well and coherently but tires a bit, lots more movement including further left hand side development. They are going to try and get her out of bed for a bit.....she's regarded as something of a star given her previous state....the speed of her recovery so far is confounding the predictions. Loadsa other stuff asking for tea, wanting to get outta bed for a wee, asking me how much I've been smoking (damn !! never thought I'd be glad to hear that one) Emotional Stuff All loved up you folks....thanks Frank and boys xx |
