Subject: Chas Patient - where is he now? From: skipy Date: 10 Aug 11 - 08:09 PM My good old mate Chas, not heard from him or of him for too many years, anyone know his whereabouts? He was my No 1 worker & helper at Stanford in the Vale back in the late 80s. Skipy |
Subject: RE: Chas Patient - where is he now? From: Hesk Date: 11 Aug 11 - 02:19 PM Skipy, Chas is back in Andover. I bump into him from time to time. He is happy fishing etc. He claims to have no further interest in Folk, and I have stopped asking him about it. |

Subject: RE: Chas Patient - where is he now? From: GUEST,raymond greenoaken Date: 11 Aug 11 - 05:52 PM It's a question I've often asked, usually to the empty air. I came into possession of a cassette CP released in the early '90s – Silhouettes – and I've been entranced by it ever since. Occasionally I sing one of the songs on it, Travelling Man. So does anyone know whether CP has released any more of his singlular songs in the intervening years? |
Subject: RE: Chas Patient - where is he now? From: GUEST Date: 11 Aug 11 - 06:43 PM Raymond, Chas put out a tape in 1980 called "Patient Reflections" on the Wild Goose label. As far as I know "Silhouettes" and this one are the only tapes he produced, although he has had one or two appearances on compilation tapes, "Friends of the Lion" for instance in 1989. It is possible that Doug Bailey has copies of his tapes. |

Subject: RE: Chas Patient - where is he now? From: skipy Date: 11 Aug 11 - 07:44 PM Doug will still have the masters. We have a copy of each - somewhere amongst our tapes, none of which have been played for years. Skipy |
Subject: RE: Chas Patient - where is he now? From: banjoman Date: 18 Aug 11 - 05:22 AM First met Chas at the Red House in Whitchurch when he was in a duo? called Doctors Orders. He was a regular both there and at Whitchurch Festival for many years. Did a lot of his own stuff and also repaired my guitar although his repair to my auto harp rendered it unplayable as he stuck it together with araldite which stuck the bars. Saw him a couple of monthas ago in Andover, very briefly, |
