Takamine date of manufacture?

I bought a used Takamine EN10 from Steve at the excellent Eagle Music in Huddersfield some years ago. The instrument originally belonged to Dave Burland who had traded it in for another guitar. I am now 'down sizing' and the guitar is up for sale. The serial number is 92100627,
does anybody know how this relates to the date of manufacture?

Your reference number gives; "The guitar was manufactured Tuesday, October 06th, 1992. It was the 27th guitar made that day."

Going from that I would guess the system they use is: YY/MM/DD/##
