Just a mention for this worthy series of concerts taking place in East London over the next few months, Bethnal Green is very accessible by both tube and the overground (several lines).

"St Margaret's House and the Gallery Cafe present a new series of fundraising gigs bringing some of the biggest names in folk to undiscovered church venues around East London.
Launching the series will be the indomitable Dougie MacClean (12th September), a Scottish National treasure and writer of Scotland's unofficial national anthem, the timeless 'Caledonia'. Next up is the winner of Best Female Singer in last year's BBC Folk awards, Heidi Talbot (6th October), while the inimitable James Yorkston (27th October) rounds off the series. With enough scale, atmosphere and history to rouse even the most wearied folkster, both venues; St John's and St Matthews, provide a unique platform for an intimate yet dramatic musical experience which is not to be missed!"
