Subject: whitby, return of the plough?? From: GUEST,Dom Date: 27 Sep 11 - 07:59 AM Heard a rumour on the grapevine that Samuel Smiths Brewery have changed their policies and got an entertainment licence! If this is true, though it could of course be complete nonsense, does this mean that the plough and indeed the jolly sailors would be operational as both used to be, for sessions etc during folk week? Has anybody heard anything about this?? |
Subject: RE: whitby, return of the plough?? From: r.padgett Date: 27 Sep 11 - 10:06 AM Not heard anything about this! My view is that Sam's should sell the pubs to a chain that does music, PEL and PRS as surplus to their requirements Ray |

Subject: RE: whitby, return of the plough?? From: Noreen Date: 27 Sep 11 - 06:38 PM Is this the same 'grapevine' as suggested that Whitby folk week was moving elsewhere to avoid the Regatta? Probably as much truth in this rumour as the other one. |
