The Good Intent is proud to host No Worries on 11th October. They will be supported by Octopus Tree. If anyone saw them on the main stage at Sweeps they will be aware of the shear tallent of these to groups.

At last, a "No Worries" gig that doesn't coincide with me being otherwise engaged, and "Octopus Tree" for an additional bonus.

Magic!

See you all tomorrow.

The parts of the Octopus Tree that made the Nags Head (Lower Stoke Winter Sing) on Sunday were pretty damned good so I will be happy to lend an ear.

No Worries are very very talented people, their choice of song is first clas, and i am looking forward to an excellent evening of song guitar and bodhran playing.

Cheers

Wee Jock

And an excellent evening of song guitar and bodhran playing was exactly what we got.

Brian and Marion put together a themed performance, taking an enthusiastic audience through the seasons of the year in a delightful admixture of nostalgia and lighthearted humour.

The support act, "Octopus Tree", was a revelation. I can't remember, in more than fifty years involvement in folk music and song, having seen a group of that size so tight and cohesive on their public performance debut.

Altogether a bloody fine evening, and another feather in the cap of the Good Intent.

Indeed, Don, a cracking evening and a good turnout. Octupus Tree are the guest artists for the next Good Intent (Rochester) Folk Concert Night, supported by Steve May. That'll be on Tuesday, 8th. November.

And looking ahead, we have the inimitable Pig's Ear for our concert night in December (Tuesday,13th.). Christmas songs galore!

Thanks guys.

Brian and Marion were very good as always, especially nice to hear Marion singing more lead vocal. Am really pleased you enjoyed us lot too - we're looking forward to next month.

Btw, John and I are playing at the Seven Stars tomorrow night, doing the finishing half-hour at Crayside Folk, if anyone is at a loose end and fancies a quiet evening out.

See you soon
Dean
