A well-known name from my childhood in the 1950s... I remember the drums and the balloon-like frilly shirts which were his trademark...

So pleased he made it to the 100 club!

RIP Edmundo...

All of the above. When I used to listen to his Light Programme music shows I actually thought he was called Edmund O'Ross.
RIP Mr. Ros

When you no longer hear of folks you never know if they're still around so I'm sorry to hear he's gone but very pleased he was rewarded with all those years

Could one of the clones please change the name in the title to Edmundo Ross! He deserves a send-off without the typos.
Cheers
Ray

Aboot ten years ago aah wez working in Customer services forra bank and a lady called up - Aah cannit remember her real name but it also cum up on screen as 'Also known as Lita Rosa'. It was her! - Aah telt her aall aboot me and me Da' - we chatted for ower half an 'oor aboot her and Edmundo Ros and she wez lovely. Sadly she passed away aboot three years ago but aah still remember the latino beat of Edmundo's orchestra AND her lovely seductive tones (Aah must've been aboot six so she wez prob'ly me first real love interest - after me Mam!) RIP Edmundo! Say 'Hi' to Bert Jansch and Dave Totterdell forruz!
