I was wondering if there is anyone out there who went to the festival in 1966?Can you tell me what you remember?Are there any good sites that show details?Thanks.

I was there one full day.I remember I believe Loving Spoonful.Buffy St Marie,Screaming J Hawkins,Howling wolf,Rambling Jack Elliot.I have tried to get a list to verify these artist,but I have not been able.Maybe if you were to call the Festival itself,they might have a list.I thought Dylan might show up,but that didn't happen.It's a great memory,and I went with a special person,who I haven't seen since then.Good Luck.

It gets a few mentions in Elijah Wald's new book on Dylan at Newport '65. It doesn't go into such great depth as his coverage of 1965, however.

I attended from 1965-1967 but I don't have any documentation. I do remember Buffy St. Marie singing something about '..big wheel go around little wheel...', Lovin' Spoonful, and Ten Wheel Drive amongst others. Good times.
