The venue has a SINGLE real ale, relatively cheap (unless compared with Wetherspoons)but weak, tasteless and without any character.And no Guinness either.

Still, a club not to be missed for all lovers of traditional song

Great club, lovely people. The beer does not detract from this. It's perfectly possible in the right company, for water to taste like wine!

Tonight at Swindon Folksingers Club we have Phil Callery. Phil sang in the Dublin folk clubs of the late sixties and went on to found the first 'Singers Club' in Dublin in 1970. You can find us at the Milton Road Club, Milton Road Swindon. 8:15pm start. Sure to be another great night. I see that Phil is also on at the Cellar Upstairs in London the following evening.

Last week we had a brilliant set performed by Phil & Liz Galvin. Tonight at Swindon Folksingers Club we have the World Famous Christmas/Festive Party. The brilliant array of local talent will be doing their party pieces and not to be missed. Swindon Folk Club Mummers will provide some intellectual prowess to balance things up. Yes! Swindon Traditional Folksingers Club is 52 years of age this year. We are celebrating our birthday this coming Friday (20th Jan. 2012) with the great, brilliant and fantastic DAVE BURLAND and of the course the usual club suspects. Visitors are very welcome to join us in our celebration of the club that Ted & Ivy Poole set up 52 years ago and that still provides a strong foundation for traditional singing and music in and around Swindon.
